Terms
The ground rules for using this site, in plain English. By using mmattyg.com, you’re agreeing to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Who we are
MattyG is the marketing consulting and social media business of Matthew Goldbaum, based in Orange County, California. When these terms say “MattyG,” “we,” or “us,” that’s who we mean. “You” means anyone using the site.
Using the site
You’re welcome to browse, read, and share links to anything on the public pages. Please use the site for its intended purpose: learning about MattyG and getting in touch about marketing help. We may change, pause, or remove parts of the site at any time.
You need to be 18 or older
This site is meant for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, including the chat, the lead form, and the client portal.
The chat and your results page
The chat asks a few quick questions and then shows you a short read on your business. That read is general information based on the answers you give. It’s a starting point for a conversation. It isn’t professional, legal, financial, or tax advice, and it isn’t a plan built for your exact situation. Please use your own judgment and talk to the right professional before making big decisions.
No guaranteed results
Marketing results depend on many things outside anyone’s control, like your market, your budget, your offer, timing, and the platforms themselves. Results vary from business to business. Any examples, numbers, case studies, or sample reports on this site show what happened in a specific situation. They aren’t promises of what will happen for you.
How we use AI
We use AI tools in parts of the business and the website. For the details, see our AI page.
Client portal
The client portal is invite-only. If you’ve been given an access code:
- It’s just for you and your team. Keep it private and don’t share or post it.
- Let us know right away if you think someone else has your code.
- We can change or turn off any code, or end portal access, at any time.
Reports in the portal are for your own business use. Please don’t try to get into the portal without a valid code.
Paid work
If you hire MattyG, that work is covered by a separate written agreement (like a proposal or contract) between you and us. If that agreement and these terms ever disagree, the written agreement wins.
Our content and brand
The words, graphics, design, and other content on this site, including the Scout mascot and the orb logo and branding, belong to MattyG or are used with permission. You can link to our pages and quote short bits with credit. Please don’t copy, resell, or reuse our content or branding for your own business without written permission.
Please don’t misuse the site
When using the site, please don’t:
- Scrape, crawl, or copy the site in bulk with bots or other automated tools
- Try to hack, break, overload, or get around any security on the site, including the portal
- Send spam, fake information, or anything harmful through the chat or forms
- Harass anyone or use the site for anything illegal
We may block access for anyone who does.
Links to other sites
Sometimes we link to other websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or how they handle your information. Visiting them is up to you.
Your privacy
For what information we collect and how we use it, see our Privacy page.
The fine print, in plain words
We work hard to keep this site accurate and running, but we provide it “as is.” We can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or up to date.
To the fullest extent the law allows, MattyG isn’t responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using this site or relying on its content, including lost profits, lost data, or other indirect losses. Some places don’t allow certain limits like these, so some of this may not apply to you.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute about them or the site will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.
